TUESDAYS: FIVE WEEK SESSION (4/82, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26) MYSTERY SCIENCE CLUB (GRADES 1-3) Mrs. Lauren Caruana (First Grade Teacher) $135 Do you have a curious child who enjoys science investigations? This "Mystery Science" MORE club will engage children in fun science experiments from www.mysteryscience.com. Each class will begin with a short video about a certain scientific phenomenon and it follow with a hands-on, interactive investigation. GOOGLE DIGITAL SKILLS (GRADES 3-5) Mrs. Lauren Zales (Fourth Grade Teacher) $135 Looking to boost your technology skills in a safe and helpful environment? In this class, you'll learn how to use Google tools to complete several fun projects, such as designing an All About Me poster on Google Drawing, making a writing portfolio on Google Sites, and collaborating on an If-Then Adventure Story with Google Docs and Slides. SPRING GARDENING (GRADES 1-3) Mrs. Jennifer Ullrich (McKinley Teacher) $135 Ever wonder what lives underneath the soil? Study the different ecosystems of the McKinley garden to observe how plants, insects, and animals live together. This class will include hands on experiments of the soil, planting vegetables that you can watch until it’s time to harvest, and designing/creating food sources. When the vegetables are ready to harvest, we will celebrate with a garden tasting party. We hope you continue to grow your heart and mind with this class! WEDNESDAYS: FIVE WEEK SESSION (4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27) POKEMON TRAINING CAMP (GRADES 1-3) Mrs. Jennifer Martin (McKinley Teacher) $135 Join us as we learn about Pokemon. Each week we will will highlight a different aspect of your Pokemon cards. We'll learn the history and origins, science and real world inspiration of some of your favorite Pokemon characters. Students will strengthen math, reading and sportsmanship skills as we learn to build decks and play the card game. Students will become Pokemon Trainers! Whether you are a novice, taken a previous class or are a committed collector, there's something for everyone! MUSICAL THEATER (GRADES 1-4) Mrs. Gail Brickman- Rhythm Revolution Founder $135 Exploring selections from classic and contemporary musicals, students will develop essential musical theater and performance skills as they learn how to sing, dance and express the hear of a character through song! No musical theater experience needed! WILDERNESS MEDICINE (GRADES 3-5) Little Medical School of Northern NJ $135 School brings medicine, science and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting and fun way. Our program will teach children about some of the dangers in the wild and how to safely handle a medical situation. For example, students will learn about snake bites, hypothermia, how to tie a tourniquet, splint a broken leg, filter dirty water, 20 uses of a bandana and how to treat bug bites. Our classes are led by a trained Little Medical School instructor. Each child receives a diploma, disposable lab coat, LMS bandana, thermal blanket and so much more! |
